If you love trendy fashion and anything to do with lifestyle, then you know Shein.
While Shein used to use more established companies such as USPS, they nowadays use last-mile companies such as SpeedX.
But there is a problem.
Most recipients find SpeedX outrightly unreliable, and hard to work with.
As someone who buys from Shein, I have had my fair share of how SpeedX does their deliveries, and I now bring you the only guide you need.
5 Common Complaints About SpeedX By Shein Customers
Delivery To The Wrong Address
Even after providing the right address to Shein, and Shein using it rightfully on the package, it’s a common problem to see SpeedX delivering packages to the wrong addresses.
While we appreciate that they take confirmation photos, many recipients confirm that there is nothing the similarity between where the packages were delivered and the right address.
If it was an issue to do with common house numbers, somewhat similar apartment names, or street names, it could be understandable.
But wrongly delivering packages to the wrong addresses and tens of miles from the right address is simply unacceptable.
Lost Packages
Several recipients say that they lose packages whenever Shein entrusts SpeedX to deliver them.
By going through the SpeedX TrustPilot review page, you will see that most of the complaints talk about lost or stolen packages.
In one of the incidents, La says that while SpeedX took his package to their apartment, they didn’t complete the delivery as expected.
Instead of delivering such a package to the right delivery address which was specified as the front door, SpeedX left the item in the mailroom. The package was stolen thereafter.
What makes La and many other recipients perplexed is when writings indicating that packages shouldn’t be left in the mailroom are there, but SpeedX doesn’t take such into consideration.

Attempted Deliveries
For other recipients, they complain that they might be home the whole day, but then not hear any SpeedX driver ringing the bell more than once.
After confirming the front cameras they found that there were indeed attempted deliveries.
However, the problem lies in that the drivers ring just once and can’t wait for a minute for recipients to go and pick up the packages, unlike what other last-mile courier companies do.
Upon another delivery attempt without proper knocking, SpeedX drivers just go and dump such packages in the sorting centers without any relevant scan showing that that happened.
If it isn’t an issue to do with the wrong delivery attempts, SpeedX uses, “”failed attempt – package undeliverable” as their other favorite scan.
Hard To Get Replied To
As part of great UX (User Experience), communication should be near-perfect whenever recipients have an issue to be clarified.
But as it seems, SpeedX isn’t committed to working with the recipient in any way.
Whenever I reached out to them after they said that my Shein order was “out for delivery”, I never heard back from them.
I had to contact Shein and ask for a refund, which was effected right away.
Non-delivery
SpeedX is notorious for claiming “No access. Package was not able to be delivered.”
The problem is that the other delivery companies can enter such buildings to which SpeedX claims there is no access.
From what we noticed, the SpeedX drivers use this scan when the recipient stays upstairs and feels too lazy to deliver there.
Why Does Shein Use SpeedX?
In a perfect world, you expect that Shein should have ditched SpeedX based on all these complaints, but unfortunately, nothing is perfect.
These are the reasons why Shein still uses SpeedX even after multiple complaints:
Lower Fees
Unlike the more established last-mile delivery companies, SpeedX charges lower fees, which is attractive to eCommerce businesses such as Shein.
The average cost savings when compared to other couriers is 25%, which feels attractive to businesses such as Shein.
Strategic Positioning
SpeedX usually delivers to huge cities such as Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and New York City.
Due to such geographic focus in 6000+ Zip codes, Shein prefers to work with SpeedX as opposed to last-mile carriers who operate all over nationally.
Great Cooperation With Shein
The cooperation between Shein and SpeedX, and SpeedX and the recipient is like day and night.
While SpeedX doesn’t care much about responding to the recipients, they give Shein an A-star service, which makes their contract with Shein keep getting renewed.
Is There Any Way I Can Avoid SpeedX Delivering My Packages?
If you can’t help yourself from wearing Shein clothes but then prefer not to work with SpeedX ever again, you could be wondering if you can avoid them.
When I reached out to Shein with this concern asking them to use different delivery companies for my packages such as USPS, they told me they could try to, but cannot guarantee.
The next order was shipped via USPS, while the other one came with the dreaded SpeedX. I didn’t get this one brought with SpeedX by the way. I ended up getting a refund.
I recommend that you get in touch with Shein before placing your order and requesting you use a different and more reliable shipping company.
For real, SpeedX has to shape up or ship out of business soon. Their reviews are worrying.
